About

After graduating with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Strathclyde University, Andy started working life not engineering, but pursuing his passion for photography. Shooting mountain bikes for MBUK magazine back in the early 90s was the beginning, but it has grown exponentially and he has now been a professional photographer for over 20 years.

Although mountain bikes and adventure sports are still at the core of his business, things have moved on a little since those early days. Today he can be shooting Danny MacAskill high on the Cuillin Ridge one day and burning up the back roads in a Rolls Royce Wraith for Middle East magazine 'Sur La Terre' the next. After all, variety is the spice of life!

A regular photographer for classic, performance and prestige car magazines, he also shoots motorbikes, offroad vehicles and general outdoor sports for countless different titles worldwide. Businesses such as St Andrews Links Trust, Endura, Altura, Lezyne, Red Bull, Aggreko, Glenprosen Estates, The University of the Highlands and Islands, Outward Bound, No Fuss Events, Rat Race Events, Bauer Media, Immediate Media, Time and many more trust him with their photography requirements.

He has also shot and written several books about mountain biking in Scotland and road cycling in the UK.
